Cancellation Policy

Aoife Kavanagh Nutritional Therapy operates on an appointment basis. To protect both your time and Aoife's, a non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. Please read this policy carefully before booking.

Short version: A deposit is required to confirm your booking. Cancellations with more than 48 hours notice can have their deposit transferred to a future booking. Cancellations within 48 hours and no-shows forfeit the deposit.

Deposits

A non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your appointment. The deposit will be deducted from the total cost of your service. The remaining balance is due 24 hours before your session.

Deposits are non-refundable in all circumstances. This is because Aoife reserves time specifically for your appointment and, in the case of DNA testing, orders your kit from Nordic Labs on your behalf.

Cancellations

More than 48 hours notice: Your deposit will be held and transferred to a future booking. No additional charge applies.
Less than 48 hours notice: Your deposit is forfeited. No transfer or refund will be issued.
No-shows: The full deposit is forfeited. If the full balance has already been paid, no refund will be issued.

Rescheduling

We understand that life happens. If you need to reschedule your appointment:

Rescheduling with more than 48 hours notice is free of charge and your deposit transfers to the new appointment.
Rescheduling within 48 hours of your appointment will be treated as a cancellation and the deposit will be forfeited.
Each booking can be rescheduled a maximum of once. Subsequent changes will require a new deposit.

DNA Test Cancellations

Please note that DNA test kits are ordered from Nordic Labs on your behalf at the time of booking. Due to the nature of this product:

Once a kit has been ordered, the deposit is non-transferable under any circumstances.
If you cancel after the kit has been dispatched, the full kit cost (€250) will be charged.
If you choose to cancel the analysis consultation after receiving your results, the consultation fee will be refunded minus the deposit.

Refunds

Deposits are non-refundable in all circumstances. Refunds on balances paid will only be issued in the following situations:

Aoife cancels or reschedules your appointment — in this case a full refund including deposit will be issued.
A technical issue prevents the session from taking place — a full refund or rescheduled session will be offered.

Refund requests in all other circumstances will be considered on a case by case basis at Aoife's discretion.

To cancel or reschedule your appointment please get in touch as early as possible using the contact form on our website. Please include your name, the date and time of your appointment, and whether you wish to cancel or reschedule.

We understand that serious and unforeseen circumstances can arise. In cases of genuine emergency, illness, or bereavement, please get in touch and Aoife will do her best to accommodate you. Each situation will be considered individually and with compassion.
